The writer relates that there are big crowds and wonderful speakers at Winona Lake. World War II had ended and America was trying to get back to normal. This area was the business district of Winona Lake. This 1940's vintage photograph shows the eatry, the Eskimo Inn, and the Souvenir Shop. Other businesses were known to include the post office, a bookstore, a photographer and other businesses. This is Park Ave. looking north towards the Winona Hotel. The Billy Sunday Tabernacle would have been on the right. The restrooms for the Tabernacle and the Hillside were located behind the store fronts.
