I'll be here until Tues. Mon. P.M. I'm going to see a fellow from school (the one we met at Ravinia). That will be fun. I had lots of fun with you Wed. and Thurs. It was swell to see you Marsh! See you in 2 weeks. I'll call you when I get home. Love, Dody." Addressed to, "Miss Jeanne Shupp and Marshall Blanchard, 308 S. Spring La Grange, Illinois." The writer says they are enjoying the music programs. The August postmark suggests that the Rodeheaver Music School was in progress. This area was the business district of Winona Lake. This 1940's vintage photograph shows the eatry, the Eskimo Inn, and the Souvenir Shop. Other businesses were known to include the post office, a bookstore, a photographer and other businesses. This is Park Ave. looking north towards the Winona Hotel. The Billy Sunday Tabernacle would have been on the right. The restrooms for the Tabernacle and the Hillside were located behind the store fronts.
