Summary: | This report is a collection of documents and drawings that describe a solar hot water system. The necessary information to evaluate the design and with information sufficient to assemble a similar system is presented. The International Business Machines Corporation developed prototype system 2 solar hot water for use in a single family dwelling. The system has been installed in Building Number 20, which is a single family residence on the grounds of the Veterans Administration Hospital at Togus, Maine. It consists of the following subsystems: collector, storage, energy transport, and control. It is a design with wide-spread application potential with only slight adjustments necessary in system size. |
