Pingos: an overview of the present state of knowledge

Periglacial geomorphology is concerned with the landforms and processes which occur in cold non-glacial regions. These regions are becoming more important because of the need to exploit their natural resources, so that oil and mining industries require periglacial geomorphologists on their staff.
