Description
Summary:Novel bat lyssavirus isolated from Natterer's bat (Myotis natteri).A virus isolated from a Natterer's bat (Myotis nattereri) originating from Lower Saxony, Germany, was differentiated from other lyssaviruses based on the reaction pattern of a panel of mononucleal antibodies. Phylogenetic analysis supported the assumption that the isolated virus, Bokeloh bat lyssavirus (BBLV), may represent a new member of the lyssavirus genus.
