| Summary: | The lecture films of Admiral Richard E. Byrd from his first expedition to Antarctica arrived with Byrd's papers at The Ohio State University. However, their fragile condition made viewing impossible. A series of grants from the Kane Lodge Foundation, Inc., to OSU's Byrd Polar Research Center Archival Program made possible the cleaning of the original films and the copying to videotape. What you see today is due to the financial support of the Kane Lodge Foundation, Inc.
