"Golden Age" was a wooden schooner built in 1883 at Abbotts Bridge (Milan), Ohio by Valentine Fries (W. C. Richardson & Co., Mgrs.), the same builder of "William Edwards." In those days it was the custom to use a steam propeller to tow a schooner part or all of the trip. Being owned by the same parties, they usually teamed together along the routes. "Golden Age" later became the barge "Pringle" of Detroit until 1924. She was sunk as part of a breakwater near Put-In-Bay, Ohio.
