| Summary: | Built of wood for packet freight at West Bay City, Michigan in 1890 for Flint and Pere Marquette Railroad. Her size and draft prevented her running in summer and she was chartered to other lines. In 1898, the "No. 5" was rebuilt for passenger trade between Ludington and Milwaukee. She was sold to Barry Transp. Co. in 1906 as shown in this picture and bought back by the P. & M. Co. in 1909 after the Barry Line Failure. Sold again in 1916 to Andrew Murray of St. Johns, Newfoundland, she was remodeled into a pulpwood carrier and renamed "Anzac". She foundered east of Nantucket Island in Feb. 1917 while enroute from St. Johns to New York.
