Description
Summary:The N2O in air and sea water from the Iceland-Faroe ridge was analyzed during the research vessel "Meteor's" cruise 20b from May 30 to July 4, 1970. Depths of the water samples varied from surface to 1000 meters. An improved analytical method yielded an average value of 0.495 micrograms of atmospheric N2O per liter (STP) of air. A slight N2O supersaturation of the water samples with respect to air was demonstrated.
