Summary:A large crowd is gathered in front of the second Monroe County Court House for the funeral of Lieutenant Frederick F. Kislingbury. Kislingbury was second in command of the Greely Arctic Expedition in the 1880s. He died of starvation and disease before the group could be rescued. In response to rumors which were in circulation, his body was exhumed and medical examiners found evidence that he had been a victim of cannibalism.
