Pregled dosadašnjih spoznaja o zaraznim bolestima risa (Lynx lynx)
Ris (Lynx lynx; Linnaeus, 1758.) pripada u razred sisavaca (Mammalia), red zvijeri (Carnivora), porodicu mačaka (Felidae), potporodicu pravih mačaka (Felinae) te rod ris (Lynx). Summary: | Ris (Lynx lynx; Linnaeus, 1758.) pripada u razred sisavaca (Mammalia), red zvijeri (Carnivora), porodicu mačaka (Felidae), potporodicu pravih mačaka (Felinae) te rod ris (Lynx). Lynx (Lynx lynx; Linnaeus, 1758) belongs in the mammalian class (Mammalia), the order of the carnivore (Carnivora), the cat family (Felidae), the real cat family (Felinae), and the genus lynx (Lynx). It is the largest representative of the cat family in Europe. In national legislation, lynx is a strictly protected species (NN 144/2013), and is part of the Red List of mammals with a status of regional endangered species. Although lynx has been extensively explored throughout the European range, there are still unknown facts in the biology of the species. It is a relatively large, but hard to see, species of low-density population that lives in forest with minimal human impact. Based on the data that has been collected, it is clear that scientifically more information on the incidence of infectious disease is available for Iberian lynx rather than Eurasian. Here we discuss bacterial, viral and parasitic infectious diseases identified in lynxes. |
