Tema ovog završnog rada su osnovna obilježja luka i terminala. Luke služe kao pristanište za brodove te ukrcaj, iskrcaj ili prekrcaj robe ili putnika sa broda ili na brod. Temeljem toga luke dijelimo na putničke i teretne. Zadatak ovoga rada je navesti osnovna obilježja luka i terminala za prihvat putnika. Osim toga dotaknuti ćemo se pojmova usko vezanih za luke i terminale (turizam, infrastruktura, gospodarstvo itd.). Za republiku Hrvatsku luke i terminali za prijevoz putnika od velikog su značaja za gospodarstvo i doprinos hrvatskome turizmu tako je luka Gaženica proglašena najboljom putničkom lukom 2019.godine. Nagrada potiče daljnje ulaganje u sami sustav putničkih terminala u RH te prometnu povezanost sa tim istim terminalima. O tome i ostatku pojmova susresti ćemo se u nastavku rada. The topic of this paper are ports and port terminals and their basic characteristics. Ports serve as docking for ships for purposes of embarkation and disembarkation of passengers and transshipment of goods. Accordingly, we distinguish between passenger and cargo ports. The task of this paper is to outline the basic features of ports and passenger reception terminals. In addition, we will refer to concepts closely related to ports and terminals (tourism, infrastructure, economy, etc.). Ports and passenger terminals are of great importance to the Republic of Croatia for its economical value and contribution in tourism. Furthermore, the port of Gaženica was proclaimed the best passenger port in 2019. The award encourages further investment in the system of passenger terminals in the Republic of Croatia and into transport connections to these terminals. We will discuss this and the rest of the concepts further throughout the paper.
