Summary:Ovaj rad pruža i objedinjuje definiciju i tipologiju lažnih vijesti - kako se one koriste i čemu služe. Koja je uloga lažnih vijesti u novinarstvu i koji su psihološki procesi zaslužni za njihovo brzo širenje i sve veću vjeru u njih. Rad također i objašnjava involviranost društvenih mreža i Interneta općenito u rast lažnih vijesti i njihovu incidenciju, tj. razloge iza njihovog zajedničkog rasta. Pregledava razloge konzumacije lažnih vijesti i daje odgovore na pitanje kako se boriti protiv njih. Istraživanje sadržano u ovom radu postavlja četiri istraživačke hipoteze na koje se odgovor pokušava dobiti anketom. Koliko su ispitanici svjesni prisutnosti lažnih vijesti, koliko općenito vjeruju vijestima i koliko su sami spremni širiti lažne vijesti This paper provides and consolidates the definition and typology of fake news - how they are used and what they are used for. What is the role of fake news in journalism and what psychological processes are responsible for their rapid spread and growing belief in them. The paper also explains the involvement of social networks and the Internet in general in the growth of fake news and their incidence, ie the reasons behind their joint growth. It reviews the reasons for consuming fake news and provides answers to the question of how to fight it. The research contained in this paper sets four research hypotheses to which an answer is sought through a survey. How much are respondents aware of the presence of fake news, how much do they generally believe the news and how much are they willing to spread fake news themselves.
