| Summary: | Denne oppgaven tar for seg institusjonen Samisk arkiv i Kautokeino, og har problemstillingen når, hvordan og hvorfor ble Samisk arkiv etablert? Oppgaven er en systematisering av samisk historie og arkivfaglig informasjon som forsøker å belyse problemstillingen. Dette er noe som har interessert meg da jeg er av samisk opphav, og jeg ønsket å lære meg mer om hva som gjør Samisk arkiv til en unik institusjon innenfor det norske arkivfeltet. Gjennom en litteratur undersøkelse som er formet etter IMRaD modellen, har jeg samlet, systematisert og presentert relevant faglitteratur, tidligere forskning, offentlige publikasjoner og dokumenter publisert av relevante institusjoner. Jeg har ført en diskusjon hvor jeg har satt resultatet av undersøkelsen i sammenheng og forsøkt å belyse problemstillingen. Der er mye litteratur og informasjon om Samisk arkiv, men jeg har opplevd det som uryddig og tidkrevende å få et tilfredsstillende svar på problemstillingen før jeg gjennomførte undersøkelsen. This thesis focuses on the institution Sámi archive in Kautokeino, Norway. The thesis attempts to answer the question when, how and why was the Sámi archive in Kautokeino established? The thesis is a systematization of Sámi history and archival science that tries to shed light on the stated question. This question is something that has interested me personally, due to being of Sámi origin myself. This prompted me to learn more about what makes the Sámi archive in Kautokeino a unique institution within the Norwegian archival field. Through literary research modelled according to the IMRaD model, I have collected, organised, and presented relevant literature, previous studies and research, public documents and publications and documents published by relevant institutions. I have then presented a discussion where I have put the result of my literary research into context and tried to give a satisfactory answer to the thesis question.
