Previous reports have demonstrated that oregonin is able to inhibit iNOS and COX-2 expression. Up to date the precise mechanism responsible for inhibition of iNOS and COX-2 by oregonin remains unclear. In this study, we further elucidated actions of oregonin on the iNOS, COX-2, and HO-1 induction in order to clarify the molecular mechanism underlying its anti-inflammatory actions.
