Full-scale open-water acceleration and deceleration measurements with CCGS Sir John Franklin
Acceleration and deceleration trials in open water were carried out. Measurements of shaft torque, thrust and speed, and ship speed and power, are reported. Ship speeds reached 8.7 m/s at 187 rpm. NRC publication: Yes
