Summary:This report records the results of permafrost field investigations by the author at four locations in northern Manitoba and two locations in Quebec-Labrador during the summer of 1955. One of the main projects under this general research program is the mapping of the southern boundary of permafrost in Canada. Data are being obtained by reviewing available literature, circulation of a permafrost questionnaire throughout the North, studying aerial photographs and conducting field investigations.
