The magazine is published quarterly by the Lutheran Students association. Norrla Halvorson, (20, former editor-in- chief of The Concordian, is editor, of the periodical. Lars Larson, ^ also a former editor-in-chief of The Concordian is associate editor and Eg-bert Boe, '20, holds the position of busi-ness manager. The American Lutheran Student Is the official organ of the Lutheran Stu-dent association of America. Arthur WJgd&hl, '30, is the national president of this organization. He is also pre-sident of the north central regional division. In the March Issue of the Lutheran Student there are two articles by mem-bers of the Concordla faculty. ''Aii Easter In Jerusalem" was writ-ten by Rev. Carl B. Ylvlsaker. of the Concordln religion department. This Is one of several articles written by Rev. Ylvisaker for this magazine- "A study Plan of the Augsburg Con-fession" was presented In this issue by Rev. Magnus Kodtvedt also of the Con-cordln religion department. Rev. Nod-tvedt has been writing a series of ar-ticles for this publication on the Augs-burg confession. MISS NILSEN ATTENDS MEETNG IN ST. PAUL State Student Volunteer Meet Held Saturday at the Bethel Institute Miss Frieda Nilsen attended a meet-ing of the state Student Volunteer movement which was held Saturday at the Bethel Institute, St- Paul. Miss Nilsen Is alumni secretary. James Kaupang of the Lutheran semi-nary in St Paul, succeeds Tnlbert Running also of the seminary, as pre-sident of the student volunteers. It was planned to hold a student re-treat at Lake Minnetonka May 4 and 5. This will be of an entirely inspiration-al nature. These retreats are held every spring and fall. They were assisted by Lawrence Hanson and Harry Semingson, violin-ists, pupils of Miss Valborg Leland. Miss Hector played the orchestral parts on the second piano. Volley Ball Tourney To Commence Soon Women's league and the Faculty club held a joint meeting Tuesday eve-ning. An informal program was given. Covers were laid for sixty-two people. The hostesses were Mrs. J. N- Brown, Mrs. C. Skalet, Mrs. J. W. Johnshoy, Mrs. Paul Rasmussen, Miss Florence Krueger, and Miss Edna Hector. Women's Governing Board Is Selected Selecting the members of the wo-men's governing board, the women of ladles hall met last week. One repre-sentative from each class is choeen to act on the board. Those elected are Bernlce Kirkehy, senior. Vilgnrd Daehlin, junior; Solveig Torvik, sopho-more; Johanna Lutriess, freshman.
