Members, note the change of date and time. ft ft ft Veterans Convene The campus Vets Club met at Culley's Cafe in Dilworth last evening for a spaghetti supper meeting. ft ft ft KOBB Presents . . ., the Friday, evening radio program, pre-sented weekly at 11 p.m., features a barber shop quartet. ft ft ft Drama Retold Bard, Book and Canto members gathered in Park Region Lounge Wednesday evening to hear a tape recording of MacLeish's J.B, This verse-drama, a modern retelling of the Book of Job, earned for MacLeish the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1959. J.B., says McLeish, partially exemplifies "man's contemporary hunger to know." ft ft ft South Ventures Northward Guest speaker at South Hall devotions Wednesday, Mar. 16, was E. M. Kvikstad of Fargo, class of '32 and former Concordian editor. He showed slides and discussed a fishing trip to the Northwest Territory of Canada, and the Arctic Ocean. Highlights included visiting an Eskimo village in the Arctic Circle. ft ft ft Open Forum Topic William R. Frye, UN correspondent for the Christian Science Monitor, will speak at the Mar. 22 session of the Fargo-Moorhead Open Forum. "Disarmament: The Key to Summitry" is his topic. The 8.15 p.m. meeting will be held at Emerson-Smith School, Fargo. There is no admission charge. ft ft ft Chi Nu Chi* newly organized medical sorority, recently toured St. Ansgar Hospital. The tour was conducted by Sister Bartholo-mew. ft ft ft Chapel Chimes "Assurance of Salvation" is Roger Herfindahl's topic for Pray-er Fellowship, Saturday, Mar. 19 at 6 p.m. in Brown Hall chapel. ft ft ft Luther Abrahamson, senior from Canton, S. Admission: Adults 75c Children (undtr 12) 25c Erickson Presents Jr. Piano Recital Astri Erickson, junior from Fergus Falls, Minn., will present a piano recital at 4 p.m. Sun-day, March 20, in the Rehearsal Hall, Music Building. Included in her program will be: "English Suite No. 2" by Bach; "Sonata in G minor, Op. 22" by Schumann; "Ballade in G minor, Op. 23" by Chopin; and "Sonata No. 2" by Hinde-mith. Astri is working towards a Bachelor of Music degree and is a student of Roy Stahl. She is a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, national honorary music sorority. Tryouts Scheduled For Final Offering Tryouts for T. S. Elliot's "Murder in the Cathedral", Concordia Theatre's last production of the season have been scheduled for March 21-25. To be presented as part of the Religious Drama Insti-tute, "Murder in the Cathe-dral" will be Concordia Thea-tre's first major attempt in the field of religious drama. The cast calls for 12 female and eight male roles. Female tryouts will be held Monday and Tuesday afternoons and evenings and male tryouts will be held Wednesday through Friday afternoon and evenings in Old Library 201. Bottom, STP's "On the Beach" features an atomic theme centered on Dr. Krodell's "There's Still Time Brother." Frosh, transfer stu-dents without-a-society are welcome to the three blasts. Sculptures, Photos Featured at Berg On exhibit now at Berg Art Center are works of female artists Jo Roper and Lee Weber. Miss Roper is represented by several pieces of sculpture and a number of photographs. Of special interest is a series of photo-graphs showing work-in-progress on a limestone statue of St. Francis. Miss Weber is also showing a series of photographs along with several paintings. Miss Weber took her formal art education at New York Uni-versity, Pennsylvania State, and the universities of Munich and Insbruch. She also studied under the American painter and print maker, Hobbson Pittman. Miss Roper received her art background from Missouri State and Cranbrook Academy. She has taught in the Southwest—most recently at the University of Mexico. The exhibit will be featured through Mar. 27. Gallery hours are 9-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 2:30-5 p.m. Sundays and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays.
