Misses Amy Erickson and Margaret Schlichtmann are plan-ning the lunch. NTJ SIG—DELTA RHO Nu Sig^Delta Rho are hosts to MSP-STP at a square game party tonight at 7:30 in the Old Gym. Committees are: invitation, Mar-ion Meberg and Dave Woodard; lunch, Phyllis Kvern and Shirley Keel; and entertainment, Mar-lene Munson and Darwin Loftus. Dr. Werth will be in charge of square games and a program will be given. OTD Tuesday evening at 6:15 the OTD will have their annual Christmas party in the form of a buffet supper. This will be held in the home management house. One Act Play 'Promised Ones' To Be Presented By LSA'ers "The Promised Ones," a Bibli-cal play in one act, by Robert St. Clair is to be given at LSA Sun-day evening at 6:30 in the college chapel. The eight characters are being portrayed by Delbert Rasmussen, Dorothy Nielson, Gail Rosholt, Paul Dovre, Dolores Christianson, John Kuester and Robert Moller-stuen. Narrator is Lois Rude. Carol Chinn is serving as pro-gram director. Team captain of this week's program is Ruth Ann Senstad. Plans are being made to send a deputation to Gary, Minn. LDR Mrs. Grace Flaten will speak on the fourth petition, "Give us this day our daily bread," for the. LDR meeting Wednesday, at 6:45 p .m. in the South lounge of Fjelstad hall. The rest of the program in- . eludes devotions by Gail Lind-berg, a vocal solo by Joanne Fag-stad and a reading by Riksene Van Zomeren. Donna Moen will be the pianist. THE SEARCH "Barnabas," the story of Paul's fellow worker, will be presented by "The Search," Sunday even-ing at 6 o'clock over station KFGO. Members of the cast include Barbara Smith, Hans Johnson, James Hauge and Roger Swenson. Announcer is Justin Lemke and organ music is being furnished by Miriam Torvik. PRAYER FELLOWSHIP Lyle Hunter will be the speaker tomorrow evening at Prayer Fel-lowship. His message is based on the parable of "The Two Sons." The meeting starts at 6:30 in the chapel of Brown hall. MISSION CRUSADERS Selmer Myhlijord, missionary to Sudan, will speak at Mission Crusaders, illustrating his -talk with slides, Sunday morning at 8:45 in the college chapel. Jeanette Sandness will sing a vocal solo and devotions will be given 'by Walter Moll. CobberWivesFete Mates Cobber Wives are inviting their husbands to a Christmas party, to be held tonight at 8:00 in the Brown hall lounge. First on the evening's enter-tainment will be games and re-lays in the recreation room. This will be followed by a short pro-gram. Readings will be given by Harvey Glommen and Mrs. Don Flaten. Paul Samuelson will lead devotions. In charge of the program is Mrs. Floyd Larsen, chairman of the decoration committee is Mrs. Harold Bernstrom and Mrs. Ger-hard Lingen is serving as chair-man of the food committee. LDS-AES's pro-gram which was postponed be-cause of the extended Thanks-giving vacation will be the first program presented after Christ-mas. Mrs. Thomte will lead in devo-tions and the Christmas gospel will be read. Mrs. Leonard Moe is to be accompanist for the singing of Christmas carols. The league has decided to dis- pense with giving individual gifts this year and use the money to clothe a Lutheran Welfare child. At this meeting there will also be a collection to buy another CARE package. The committee in charge has the following members: Miss Flor-ence Kruger, chairman; Miss Gladys Boen, Mrs. A. H. Sanden, Miss Dorothea Nevramon, Sister Mafgot Ness, Mrs. K. O. Lee, Mrs. William Smaby and Miss Marie Everson. SKIERS TO SEE EQUIPMENT Ski equipment of all types and price ranges will be shown at the Ski club meeting Tuesday evening Library Receives New Volumes Over 150 books were received by the library from three donors: the late philosopher, David F. Swenson, books on philosophy and literature; the late Pastor J. G. Rugland, volumes on religion, free-masonry and religion includ-ing a set of the "Lutheran Com-mentary" on the Bible; and from Professor P. A. Anderson, books on various phases of education. Other gifts of interest include a book on Iceland and its people from Richard Palsson; "Fill 'er Up" by Partridge, the story of fifty years of motoring, from the Moorhead Auto club; "A Creed for Free Enterprise" from the Fargo Chamber of Commerce and "Art Treasures of the Louvre," an illustrated art book, from George S. Bjornson and Dr. Carl Bailey. There are also two books in Zulu from Miss Margaret Niordlie, a Concordia faculty member now on leave as a missionary in South Africa, and two volumes of Nor-wegian history from Mrs. Torjus Lundevall of Scobey, Montana. Others who have given books are Beverly Brown, Dr. J. N. Brown, Oscar Christensen, the Rev. G. C. Clausen, Dr. R. M. Fjelslad, Miss Dora Gulbranson, Mrs. M. Hansen, Dr. Allan Han-son, Professor J. A. Holvik, Os-car H. Kjorlie, Dr. K. O. Lee, Pro-fessor Arnold Peterson, Erling Rolfsrud and Professor Cyrus Running. Daehlin Accepts ELC District Post A former Cobber, Reverend Reidar A. Daehlin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Brook-lyn, New York was elected presi-dent of the Rocky Mountain dis-trict of the ELC in September. Daehlin, a Concordia grad-uate of 1932 and his wife, the former Marion Borstad, also a graduate of Concordia, served as missionaries to China from 1935 to 1940. After returning from China he served as a pastor in Missoula, Montana until 1944 when he took the pastorate of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Great Falls, Montana. While serving as a pastor here he was also a member of the board of directors of Concordia college. In 1949 he accepted a call from Trinity Lutheran church in Brooklyn, where he remained pastor until he received this new post. Pastor Daehlin, who succeeds Dr. Laurence N. Women's League Bazaar Today Concordia's Women's league is holding a bazaar this af-ternoon and evening (Friday) from 3:00 to 9:00 in the north practice room of the Ne\y Gym. The proceeds are going to Twenty-Two Give Recital Monday Eve There will be a student recital in the chapel on Monday evening at 7:00 with twenty-two Cobbers participating. The program will consist of the following: String octet: John An-derson, David Jordahl, Bonita Stutrud, Audrey Velline, Mary Jane Junkin, Margaret Blickens-derfer, Laree McNeal, Ernest Lloyd, Betty Quam. Mu Phi Will Have Christmas Party Mu Phi £psilon Music sorority will hold its annual Christmas party Monday evening, December 8, at 8:30 in the chapter room on the college campus. Katherine Jordahl is general arrangements chairman. Assist-ing her are Myrtle Sigdestad and Christina Fjelstad. Miss Ruth Bcrge will open the program with an informal talk on Christmas in Norway. Miss Berge spent the last year in Norway studying or-gan and composition. Opal Math-sen, accompanied by Joanne Wick-lund will sing "The Friendly Beast," a 12th century English song. Marga ret Huslegard, pianist, will play Mozart's Sonata in B-flat. Mrs. W. S. Shaw, accompan-ied by Mrs. H. O. Anderson will sing a group of Scandinavian Christmas carols. Maude Wenck will lead the group in the sing-ing of Christmas carols of all na-tions. A supper and social hour will follow the program. Hostesses are Phyllis Cavallin, Carolyn Moe, Sylvia Moe, Borghild Schoberg, Mrs. H. J. Gilbertson and Mrs. James Dunlevy. furnish the gym kitchen with needed appliances. Mrs. Burgess and Mrs. Schoberg are co-chairmen of the affair. There will be four booths with chairmen as follows: Miss Bjork and Mrs. Dordal, Mrs. T. C. Miss Betty Strand has. been in charge of posters. Caroling In Store For Parish Club Members of the Parish Workers club are going caroling at the Cass Courvty hospital on Thursday. The girls will meet at Fjelstad hall at 6:45 p. m. and leave from there. A former parish worker from Phinny Ridge Lutheran church in Seattle, Washington, Miss Alice Carlson, is to speak to the group after they return to the South * lounge at Fjelstad. She is bring-ing the group some Christinas suggestions suitable for use In a congregation.
