Minnesota, voted a gift of $10,000 toward the St. Olaf build- Ing fund. This sum is to De turned over to the college treasurer and is to be considered as a portion of the regular building fund. However, the conditions of the gift specifies that the money is to form the nucleus of a fund to be used in the erection of a now music hall. This represents the accumulated earnings of the various musical organizations through their activities, and is the result of efforts reaching back a good many years. The music board plans to continue to set aside additional sums from time to time, with the aim of raising en-ough money to erect the much needed music ball.
