WETZEL'S CLASS My Christmas Vacation Last December 24, Grandma, Grandpa, my uncle's family and two uncles came to my house to visit. I opened my presents and I got a football, Mr. Quarterback, puzzle, Blip, camera, clothes, coat, and money. My mom liked the clock with the flower from my sisters and me. On December 25, we went to Inkster to visit my grandparents. I watched the college football game on TV. Litter I played Yahtzee. Then, I had nothing to do. On December 31, my mom and dad went somewhere for New Year's Eve. I did not go with my mom and dad.My sister did not go with mom and dad either. I tried to make a choker from string, but I didn't know how. On January 4, my sisters went to school. On January 7, I came back to school. I forgot my picture at home so my mom wrote last weekend and included the picture. —Kevin Grinde Vacation News December 24, my family had a little party on Christmas eve. We ate pizzas, salad, and soup and drank pop and it was really good food. Then, we opened our presents. I got a camera, necklace, two pairs of pants, a box of candy, a hairdryer, poster and two bottles of perfume. I love to use my Christmas things from my parents. December 25, we went to Red Lake Falls, MN to see my aunt and uncle for a few days. I went ice skaking with my parents and friends. I skated too fast and I fell down many times. It hurt a lot. 1 couldn't walk very good and my uncle said, "You look like an old grandma." December 27, we went back home. My brother, Jim, taught me how to drive an Arctic Cat snowmobile. I can drive it about 20 miles an hour. January I, Jim, Julie, my sister, my brother, Ronnie, and I went to a movie titled "livery Which Way But Loose." It was a very good movie. I bought some popcorn. Jim, Julie. Ronnie and I walked to our friend's house after the movie. My popcorn was gone when I got there because I didn't feel anything and some popcorn fell out on the road. Jim, Julie and Ronnie laughed at me because I had no popcorn. January 8, I came back to school. I had fun during vacation. —Linda Schiltz My Christmas Vacation Sunday night, December 24, Grandpa and Grandma from Grand Forks and Aunt Darlene and Uncle Allan from Denver came and stayed at our house for four days. Christmas Eve, we opened our presents. I got clothes, four pairs of socks, two pairs of underpants, two posters of Charlie Brown to color, a latch hook kit, a necklace, notepads, a picture album, two Bonnie Bell lipsmackers, candies, two combs, a purse, a toothbrush and 11 dollars. I will spend the 11 dollars in Grand Forks sometime. On Christmas day more relatives came to our house to eat. We ate a lot of food. We played games. The next day I missed Christmas. We rode our sled behind the pickup pulled by a thick rope. Dad drove the pickup. Sometimes we went fast and slow. I got all wet but it was fun. January 3 to 5, my sisters . and brother went to school and Mom and Dad went to work. I was alone in the house, but I was busy anyway. I watched TV, colored my Charlie Brown poster, read books and helped Mom with cleaning. —Jena Haugen Christmas Vacation We went to Happy Joe's last December 22. I ate seven pieces of pizza and I drank two glasses of root beer. Then we went home to pack our suitcases. LeAnn, Jim, Mom, and I went to Minnesota for Christmas. Rich went to Kansas for his mother's birthday. December 23, my mom and LeAnn went shopping to buy some presents. Jim and I watched TV and I played a game with him. Grandma, Mom, Jim, LeAnn and I went to Chuck, Betty, Todd, and Brett's (uncle, aunt and cousin) house. We opened our presents. I got a hairdryer, robe, two pairs of slippers, heart pin, 10 dollars and a shirt from LeAnn, Mom, Grandma, and Betty. Then, we went to my Grandma's house. We had fun at my uncle's house. On December 24, in the morning, LeAnn and I went shopping for my dad, Dianne and Debbie. Then LeAnn and I went home and LeAnn wrapped the presents. Jim, LeAnn and I went to dad's house. I watched TV. LeAnn, Debbie and I played a game and it was called "Hangman." I opened my presents. I got cat bubble bath, pot holders, a new watch, a macrame plant hanger, a shirt. Hash jeans. We talked and played with the eame. We had fun at my dad's house. December 31, on New Year's Eve. my mom, Rich, and I went to the movie called, "Superman." Then we went to Happy Joe's for the New Year Eve party. Rich and Mom ate three pieces of pizza and I ate six pieces of pizza. We had fun at Happy Joe's. I came back to school on January 7 I had fun during Christmas vacation! —Lynne Egan Christmas Vacation News On December 25 my brother and I woke up first. My brother and I couldn't wait to open the presents until my mother woke up. After she woke up, we opened them. I looked in my stocking. I got candy, a candle, and a glass dog. My brother got a horse, a toy and candy. My mother got earrings and a hanger for the kitchen. My brother got some clothes, a calculator, a race car, a puzzle, a poster and a necklace. I got some clothes, a puzzle, a poster, a jewelry box, a stick pin, a camera, a candle and perfume. We cleaned the house after opening the presents. My mother told me that my great grandpa died on December 13. I was re«l sorry. On December 30 I was sick and I had a bad headache. My mom took care of me. I had the flu. I slept all day. I didn't eat because I was not hungry. On January 3 I went to the dentist. My teeth hurt because my dentist worked on my teeth. Later I got chills and a high fever. My mom and brother moved to Fargo in December. I like to live in Fargo. That is fine with me. My brother's school is called Jr. High School. He said that he liked this school better than at Bismarck. I asked my brother, if he liked to eat the food at his school. And he said, "Yes" because they have junk food. I laughed at him. —Lori Randen Vacation News On December 23 my family went to my uncle's house in Wahpeton for Christmas.
