Daniel Schock family – from daughter Emilie Hildebrandt Weilheim-Teck‚ den 18. 3. 47 Erstens Gott u die Gnade unsres Herrn Jesu Christi -Die Liebe Gottes u die Gemeinschaft des Heiligen Geistes sei u bleibe mit uns allen Amen Nun einen schönen herzlichen Gruß u in der Liebe einen Kuß an euch mein Lleber Onkel u liebe Tante nebst meinen Kusinen allen von uns Emil, Emilie, Erwin, Daniel u Anchen Hildebrandt –Daß wir noch alle Gott sei Dank gesund sind was wir von euch auch hoffen u es euch auch von Herzen wünschen. Lieber Onkel u Tante gestern bekam ich euer wertvolles Paket mit großer Freude –habt recht herzlichen Dank denn ich muß sagen ihr habt Eltern Pflicht an mir getan u mir meine Sorgen erleichtert u euer schönes Familien Bild holte mir die bittersten Tränen hervor wie eure Kinder alle so beim Vater u Mutter sein könnt u uns hat das Schicksal so hart getroffen -wo wird mein lieber guter Vater sein? Gott möcht ihn mir doch noch einmal sehen lassen -Und was mit meiner lieben Mutter Bruder u mein liebes Kind los ist möchte ich gerne wissen -habe schon seid 4.1.47 keine Post mehr von ihnen –man könnte als in Verzweiflung kommen wenn man so an alle denkt -Dann meine arme Schwester in Sibirien -mein Bruder in Russ. Gefangenschaft -0 Gott warum alle so zerstreut -man kann nichts ändern vielleicht ist es doch nochmal möglich daß wir uns nochmal sehen dürfen -Lieber Onkel u Tante erzählen könnte man mehr aber schreiben nicht -wenn man so verlassen da sitzt ohne Heimat -die Leute so stur -da sehnt man sich nach unser Heimat wie alles so schön war u wir heute uor einem nichts stehen -Nun kommt das schöne Osterfest u wo sind meine Lieben alle? Nun auch recht herzlichen Dank dir meine Kusine Helena für deine milde Hand -hast mir viel geholfen denn ich habe eine Säuglings Karte bekommen aber nichts zu kaufen und der Faden hat mir auch sehr gut getan -auch vielen Dank dem Jakob für seine Gaben -Nun liebe Tante u Kusinen nimmt mirs nicht für Übel wenn ich bei euch betteln muß wenn es euch eine Möglichkeit ist dann seid bitte so gut u schickt mir noch Faden u Gummi -denn Gummi gibts hier überhaupt keinen u Faden sehr wenig u flicken muß man alle Tage daß man bald garnicht weißt wie -auch der Emma vielen Dank, so seid für heute nochmals alle alle recht herzlich gegrüßt von Emil, Emilie, Erwin, Daniel u Anchen Hildebrandt an euch mein Lieber Onkel u Tante u meine Geschwister Kinder alle -schreibt uns bitte recht bald wieder Weilheim-Teck, 18 March, 1947 First may God and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost be and stay with us all, amen. We are still well, thank God, and hope and wish with all our hearts that you are the same. Dear Uncle and Aunt, I received your precious package yesterday with great joy and heartfelt thanks and I must say that you fulfilled a parental responsibility for me and eased my worries. Your lovely picture brought forth my tears as I saw all your children together with their father and mother, and we, struck by such a fate, don’t even know where our father could be! May God grant that l will see him again! l'd like to know too why l haven't heard from mother, my brother and my dear child! Haven't had mail from them since Jan. 4, 1947. l could despair when I think of it all -my poor sister in Siberia, and my brother in Russian captivity. Oh God why are we so scattered and can't do anything about it! Maybe there is still a chance that we will be allowed to see each other again. Dear Uncle and Aunt I could tell you more than l can write. When one is so abandoned without a home or a future -and the people are so stubborn, one longs for the homeland and how nice it used to be. Now the joyous Easter is coming and where are all my dear ones? To my cousin Helena a very hearty thank you for your kind hand. You have helped me a great deal. I have an infant ration card, but there is nothing to buy. The thread was very helpful too. Many thanks to Jacob for his gifts. So dear aunt and cousins don’t be offended if I have to beg some more, but if possible, please send me some more thread and elastic. Elastic is not available and very little thread. One needs to mend every day and hardIy knows how anymore. Also many thanks to Emma.
