Summary:Miss Byrdie McKay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Angus McKay of Milton, and Garnet H. Melville were married. Mrs. Jacob Bjornson Johnson, a pioneer resident of this community, died at her home northeast, of Milton October 25. She was born in Iceland August 25, 1851, and came to Manitoba as a young woman. There she married Jacob J. Johnson November 26, 1878. They came to North Dakota in 1879 and home- steaded in Cavalier county. Stephen Johnson of Milton and Paul Johnson of East Grand Forks are sons of the couple. George Bleakely died at his homo four miles southeast of Milton October 31. He was born at Crossville, 111., in 1890 and came to North Dakota as a young man. He was married to Miss Oline Rusley in August 1917. Mrs. Frank Torrance of Milton and Mrs. Stanley Akset of Union were their daughters. Alexander Watt, pioneer of Osford township, passed away at his home November 1.
