April and Loyal attend Sheldon High School. DORIS Good married William Sturlaugson, q.v. SHIRLEY Good married William Bobb, q.v. LOELL William Good (called Billy) was a graduate of Weatherford, Oklahoma, high school in 1946. After spending two years in the Naval Sea Bees, he attended westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, graduating with Cumlaude honors in 1951. It was at college that he met and married Bonnie Eaton on May 23,1950. No children have been born to this marriage. Bonnie was born in Central City, Nebraska on January 9, 1926 to Louise and Erwin Eaton. After college Loell worked two years in California in the aircraft industry before joining General Motors Corp. He worked two years in the Kansas City, Kansas automobile assembly plant and then transferred to the Guide division of G.M. in Anderson, Indiana. He is now supervisor of Industrial Engineering. Guide primarily makes automotive Loell and Bonnie Good, Shlh Tzu dog Jodie lighting and plastic-covered bumpers. Loell's hobbies include golf, photography and a small garden. They also own a lot on a golf course in Flagstaff, Arizona where they plan to build their retirement home in a few years. GOODMAN Born in France a few miles from Strasbourg in 1806, Theobolt Goodman came to America in 1823 and settled in Ohio where he was one of the earliest settlers of the state in Stark County. He married Katherine Gulley in Louisville, Ohio in 1835 and she had also been born near Strasbourg, France. Eleven children were born to them, three dying in infancy: Mary, Katherine, Elizabeth, Susan, Peter, Adam, Christine and Joseph. They sold their farm near Louisville, Ohio in 1856 and went to St. Paul where they stayed only four weeks, at which time they went by boat to Dubuque, Iowa, then by train to South Bend, Indiana. They bought a farm of a little over 200 acres on the edge of Sumptions Prairie, six miles from South Bend from a Mrs. Suddeth. On this trip they carried $4000 in $20 gold pieces with them, which was sewn into the waist bands of the four oldest children and Grandpa and Grandma. There Theobolt died in 1863 and Katherine in 1868. The Goodman and Gulley families were all Catholics. In the 1870's the children came to this area. Little is known of Mary. Katherine married Michael Probstfield of Moorhead, Minnesota and they also lived in Lisbon, ND. Elizabeth married Phillip Grange of Lisbon and lived at Sheldon; Susan married Frank Mougey (q.v.) and lived at Sheldon; Peter married Jeanette Wilson and Joseph married her sister, Jane Wilson; Adam married Laura Buck, all three of these brothers were businessmen in Sheldon; Christine married Marion Grange of Lisbon and lived at Sheldon where they had a store, then later moved back to Lisbon, ND. Front: April and Loyal. 249 Peter Paul Goodman PETER Paul Goodman was born in Stark County, Ohio on June 29, 1846. At the age of 20, he joined his brother-in-law Michael Probstfield who was stationed on the Red River of the North at Georgetown, Minn, as agent of the Hudson Bay Company. The following fall he took a contract from the Hudson Bay Company to cut cord wood on Scanned with a Zeutschel Zeta book scanner at 300 dpi. Edited in Multi-page TIFF Editor.
