Summary:Robert and Carmen Vasichek Robert J. Vasichek and Carmen D. Hartze were married at Regent, ND on April 20, 1968. Robert was born to James and Rose Vasichek, Brocket, ND in 1945. His first six years of elementary school were spent at a country school, Perth No. 99, which was one mile from the family farm. The remaining two years and his high school years were spent at Michigan. He attended Mayville State College, and Dakota Business College Fargo, ND, at which time he began employment with Northern Improvement Company, Fargo, ND. He was employed in the accounting department until 1972. He returned to the family farm to farm with his brother, Richard. Carmen D. Hartze was born in Mott, ND., to Mike and Wilma Hartze in 1946. She has three older brothers. When she was five the family moved to Regent, ND., where she attended elementary and high school. She attended Dickinson State College for one year. The following year she moved to Fargo, ND. and attended Dakota Business College for thirteen months. Then she took up employment at Northern States Power Co. in Fargo and worked in the accounting department until moving to the farm with Bob in 1972. Bob and Carmen have two children, Shawn and Denae. Shawn is in fourth grade and Denae is in first grade at Michigan. Bob, Carmen, Shawn and Denae presently live on the former Richard and Catherine Sommerfeld farm west of Whitman, ND., where they moved to in February, 1980. They presently raise small grains, soybeans, sunflowers, and raise registered Tarentaise cattle. Robert Vasichek Bob, Denae, Shawn, Carmen Mr. and Mrs. Leo Vossler and Family Leo and Karen Vossler were residents of Michigan, ND from 1949-1958. Leo was Vocational Agriculture Instructor and Band Director at Michigan High School from 1949-1958. Karen taught third and fourth grade from 1949-1951. Four children were born to us while living at Michigan. Brent (1951), Naomi (1953), Kevin (1954), and Carla (1957). From Michigan we moved to Parshall, ND and resided there for eighteen years. Leo taught Vocational Agriculture at the high school and Karen worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Presently, we reside in Bismarck, ND where Leo is on 328 the teaching staff at Bismarck Junior College and Karen is a postal clerk at the Mandan Post Office. Brent lives in Morrison, CO where he is an electrical engineer with Western Area Power Administration. He is married and has two children. Naomi lives in Chandler, AZ and is currently employed in a manufacturing plant as a sales secretary. Kevin lives in LaCrosse, WI and is employed as a mechanical engineer by Trane. Kevin is also married. Carla lives in Fargo and serves as physical director at the Fargo YMCA. Leo Vossler Karen, Carla, Naomi, Ellen, Kevin, Brent, Glenda, and Leo. Two grandchildren in front Tricia and Beth. Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Wangen Osborne was born at his home farm near Petersburg, ND. October 5, 1912 the son of Hans and Mary (Donnelly) Wangen. He farmed in Nash Township until he retired Eva (Leach) Wangen was born at Bird Island, MN, Eva (Leach) Wangen was born at Bird Island, MN. August 16, 1917. After I finished high school I came to Grand Forks, ND and later came to Michigan to work for Helen Cady, where I met Osborne and got married and stayed in North Dakota. We have one son, Jerome who still lives at Petersburg and five daughters. Mrs. Wayne En- srud (Marg Ann) lives at Tioga, ND, Mrs. Terrance Sateren (Kathy) at Coppers Cove, TX, Mrs. Neil Trautman (Patricia) at Juneau, Alaska, Mrs. Tim Cash (Audrey) at Grand Forks and Anette at Grafton. Osborne passed away July 21, 1978. Alfred Warmark Alfred was born in 1898 at New London, MN. He attended school there. He moved to ND in 1918 to a farm northeast of Devils Lake, ND where he farmed until 1935. He married Lena Sand in 1935. She was born in 1902 at Gary, ND and attended country school in the Crary area. After their marriage they farmed in the Devils Lake and Starkweather areas before purchasing the Hil Lamb farm four miles west of Michigan, ND in 1948. They farmed un til they retired in 1972 and moved to Lakota, ND. Alfred passed away in 1975. Their son Donald was born in 1937 at Lakota, ND. He attended schools in the Devils Lake and Starkweather area, he entered the 5th grade at Michigan graduating in 1955. He farmed with his dad until 1965 when he passed away.
