He attended NDSU at Fargo and NDSS at Wahpeton then worked in Fargo, attended NDSU again, graduating in 1979, with a degree in agri-economics. In 1980, he moved to East Grand Forks as manager of the Midland Cooperatives Fertilizer Plant. Paige graduated from MHS in 1981 and is a sophomore at Jamestown College. Maynard Lillehaugen Maynard and DeLores Lillehaugen and four children live on the same farm as Maynard's parents, northwest of Whitman, ND. Maynard was born in 1941 on the farm his grandfather Tosten Lillehaugen homesteaded. He is the third child of Tollef and Viola Lillehaugen. Maynard graduated from MHS in 1959 and served in the National Guard. He is farming with his dad, raising small grains, row crops, and registered Tarentaise cattle. Maynard has trucked livestock to Fargo, sheared sheep, custom-ground hay and sold seed. He served on the Michigan school board for 10 years, is a member of the Sarnia Church council and a director of Whitman elevator board. Maynard and Delores, daughter of Bert and Adeline Kosobud were married in 1964 at Michigan. They have three boys Troy, born in 1966, Grant born in 1967, Luke born in 1975 and a daughter Jennifer born in 1974. DeLores is active in ALCW, teaches Sunday school, serves on the church education board, is a member of the Happy Ramblers Homemakers Club, is on the Parents Advisory Council at Michigan school and sells cosmetics part time. Tollef and Viola Lillehaugen Tollef T. Lillehaugen, son of Michael Lillehaugen and Helen Sando, born in 1908 in Nelson County grew up in Perth Township. He married Viola Sandford in 1934. They lived in Sarnia Township for a year, then moved on the homestead of the Tosten Lillehaugens, grandparents of Tollef. During the first year they lived in the log house. Viola taught school for twenty-five years in Nelson and Walsh counties. Both have been active in church and community activities. They live on the farm in a trailer home. They are parents of six children. All are graduates of MHS. Vern born in 1934 was the only one of the 4th generation to have lived in the log house. He spent twenty months in service. He married Linda Van Laanen. They have two children, Kelli and Paige. Vern works for Pacific Gas and Electric of California as a service man for gas and Linda as a secretary in the electric department. Helen born in 1937, received her R.N. Degree from Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. She married Dr. Adolf Walsher, born in Vienna, Austria. He is an internist at Mayo Clinic at Rochester, MN. They have three girls Denise, Debby and Darlene. The family spend three years in Germany, when he served in the Armed Forces as captain. Maynard was born in 1941. He married DeLores Kosobud daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kosobud of Michigan in 1964. DeLores and Maynard have four children Troy, Grant, Jennifer and Luke. Lyle, born in 1943, graduated from UND. He married Scherion Purdy and lives in Camarillo, California. Lyle is an electrical engineer working under the Navy at Point Mugu. His wife does secretarial work. They are parents of Brook born in 1976 and Trent in 1978. Carol Jean was born in 1946. She graduated from Aaker's Business College Grand Forks and is secretary for Northwest Airlines. She married Robert Jay Stephens in 1969. They live in Eagen, MN. He graduated from the NDSSS, Wahpeton and works as a computer operator for Republic Airlines. Carol Jean and Jay have a daughter, Brittany born in 1980 and Scott in 1981. Barbara was born in 1950. She attended Concordia College for one and one half years and graduated from UND at Grand Forks. She married Kirk Swalley. They live in Alexandria, MN where he operated a cabinet shop, the woodshed. He passed away in 1982. Barbara teaches in the Alexandria school system, as a speech clinician with pre-schoolers. Their two children are Amber and Michael. Amber Loe Amber was born in Sanish, ND, graduated from high school at Grand Rapids, ND. He managed co-ops for 26 years. Anna Mae Mangan was born in LaMoure, ND, graduated from LaMoure high school and married Amber in 1946. They lived at LaMoure until 1950, then moved to Tolna, ND where Amber was manager of the Farmers Union Oil Company. He transferred to Michigan where they lived until 1970. Amber was manager and Anna Mae bookkeeper. They transferred to Grand Forks in 1970 still with the Farmers Union, they lived there until 1972 when they moved to Manvel, ND, combining farming with managing the Farmers Union in Grand Forks until 1976. Amber is farming and Anna Mae is a licensed realtor Amber and Anna Mae Loe Daryl, Michael, Jackie, Marilyn, Cindy, Diane working for Century 21 AAA Valley Park Real Estate in Grand Forks, ND. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary June 19, 1981. They have four daughters, Marilyn, Diane, Cynthia, Jackie and two sons. Daryl is a student at UND, majoring in computer science and business management. Michael is associated with his dad in the farming operation. Diane Loe Diane Loe graduated from MHS in 1968. She received a B.S. degree in medical technology from NDSU of Fargo, ND and completed a medical technology internship at Mercy Hospital in Denver. Diane has been working as a chemistry specialist at the Denver V.A. Medical Center since 1972. She will complete a masters degree in business administration from the University of Colorado in 1983. Diane lives in Denver with her Newfoundland, Poco Oso.
