Eugene lives in California. Gerald lives in California. Katherine never married. Vincent V. Hoffarth was born in Russia. He came to the United States at the age of 2 or 3 years. He married Anna Marie Busch on February 19, 1924 at Selz. She was a daughter of John Busch and Barbara Berger. She was born on October 3, 1904 in Pierce County, in the Selz and Esmond territory. She died May 10, 1969 at Rugby. Vincent V. was a member of the Nonpartisan League and the Democratic party. He was clerk for the Strasburg School District and was on the township board in Alexanter Twp. Vincent was a member of the Farmers Union. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffarth were members of the Eagles. Mrs. Hoffarth was a member of the Christian Mothers and of the Democratic Women. They had sixteen children. Four of them are deceased: Delores Katherine, born February 11, 1928, died March 4, 1928. Angeline Hoffarth, was born on March 11, 1925, in Pierce County, Esmond. She married Anton Schneider, Nov. 9, 1944 at Esmond. Anton Schneider was the son of Andrew Schneider and Katherine Geisinger of Selz. He was born July 13, 1923 in Pierce County, Selz. They farmed north of Selz, have lived there since they got married. Angeline graduated from Esmond High School, attended Minot State College. She taught school in Rosedale School District, near Balta and a school near Selz. They have seven children: Jorinda Ann, born January 24, 1946, at Harvey, married Robert Tripanier from Minneapolis, Minn. They live at Bloomington, Minn. Jorinda is a social worker. Eileen Marie, born November 24, 1947 at Harvey, married Pius Axtman from Orrin. They live on a farm near Orrin. They have three children, Penny, Paula and Stacy. Cynthia Kathryn, born October 7, 1952, at Rugby, married Ronald Rieger, son of John and Arkie Rieger of Esmond. They live at Grand Forks where Ronald is an electrician. They have two children, Jonathon and Robin. Vivian Leigh, born July 30, 1957, died July 23, 1958. Wayne Anthony was born July 6,1961; Roxanne Yvonne, born July 25,1959; and Ronda Jean, born March 22, 1963. Wilhelmina Hoffarth, born May 31,1926 in Pierce County, Esmond, married Gerald Rosencrans at Esmond, son of Ranee Rosencrans. They live in Towner and Minot. Children born: Paulette Barbara, born March 11, 1945, died October 18, 1948. Gerald Anthony, born Nov. 22, 1948, lives in Kansas, is married and has five children. He is a roofer. Pamela Ann, born December 15, 1949, married Bill Baciokas from Seattle. They have two boys, James and Billy. Pamela lives in Portland and Bill is stationed in Okinawa. Patricia Lynn, born June 17, 1952, married Walter Trapp of Portland, Ore. They live in Portland and their one son, Walter III attends Portland State University. Loren Wayne, born September 9,1954, lives in Portland. He is a welder. Renae Lee, born Jan. 16,1956, lives in Portland. Wilhelmina is now married to Alvin Sundeen and they live in Portland. He works as a maintenance mechanic. Wilhelmina taught school at Berwick before her marriage. Anna Marie Hoffarth - born December 14, 1930 in Pierce County, Esmond, married Estagen Zimmerman, May 26, 1949 at El Paso, Tex. Estagen was born September 11, 1923 at Orrin. He is the son of Mike Zimmerman and Anna Goldade. Estagen served in the C.C.C. for 18 months and served in the U.S. Army for six years. Part of that time he served during World War II, and part after the war. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in 1951 and 1952 at Riverdale as a guard. He worked as a carpenter at the Garrison Dam; lived at Riverdale from 1951 to 1958. He worked at Buffalo, New York in 1956 for a short time. He moved to a farm southeast of Selz in 1958, moved to a farm northwest of Selz in 1962. He worked in Greenland for a short time in 1959 and moved to Portland, Ore. in 1965 where he did carpenter work. At the present time he is disabled. Anna Marie attended high school in Esmond. She worked as a waitress, cashier, and at the present time she works part time at the school cafeteria. They have nine children: Michael Vincent, born March 13,1950 at Rugby, attended school at Riverdale and Harvey. He graduated from David Douglas High School in Portland, Ore. in June, 1968.
