| Summary: | RUDOLPH PALMER KLU SDAHL Rudolph Farrel, Mr. Kluksdahl, Marlowe Jewel, Mrs. Kluksdahl Rudolph married Harriette Mildred Helland of Fort Ransom in 1934, and they farmed in the Hastings area until Harriette passed away in July, 1950. Rudolph and Harriette had two sons, Rudolph Farrel, born on April 26, 1936 and Marlowe Jewel, born on April 26, 1940. Farrel is married to the former Claudene Nazworth of Folkston, Georgia. They have two sons, Brent Farrel, born March 13, 1962, John Aaron, born January 17, 1966, and a daughter, Melissa Jane, born August 4, 1967. Farrell and his family live in Fargo, where he is attending Industrial Engineering Graduate School at North Dakota State University. Marlowe is married to the former Patricia Klein of Eckelson. They have twin daughters, Shelly Ann, and Sherry Ann, born December 9, 1959, and a son, Patrick Allen, born July 31, 1965. Marlowe is making a career of the United States Navy and is now stationed in Alaska. Rudolph now lives in the Eckelson area where he has farmed for the past fifteen years. WIEDRICH FAMILY Mr. Wm. Wiedrich married Sophia Mittelsteadt in Mercer County on the 11th of November 1923. They moved to Driscoll, North Dakota on the 5th of July 1950. They brought with them their 6 children: Douglas Carl, Milo William, Delephina Kathrine, Raymond Fredrich, Lawrence Rudolph, and Myra Sophia. Back: Delephina, Milo, Raymond, Mr. Wiedrich Douglas; Front: Mrs. Wiedrich, Lawrence, Myra, Douglas is now married to Darline Price of Helena, Montana. They have 5 children, Robert, Deborah, Kathlene, Tariesa, and Barbara. They are living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Milo (Mike) is still unmarried and makes his home in Driscoll. Delephina married Robert Hughs of Iowa and have three children, Rodney, Karen, and Jennifer. They live in San Diego, California. Raymond married Grace Stenerson also of Driscoll and they have 3 children. Victoria, Rhonda, and Bryan. They now live in Missoula, Montana. Myra married Laird Stewart of Minot. They have 2 children, William and Tara. They are living in West Fargo. We were farming in Mercer County and kept on farming in the Driscoll vicinity. MR. & MRS. GEORGE CHRISTIANSON (DECEASED) George (Jorgen Jentoft) Christianson, born Sept. 19th, 1866, at Saterland, Helgeland, Norway. Just north of the 65th latitude, (not farm from the Artie Circle). He attended school there, while a young man worked a few years as a fisherman then studied to be a carpenter. He continued this trade for some years. In 1891 he married Elle Bertelson from Berg i Helgeland. Two years later in August of 1893 they came to America. Traveling by "Steam Boat" in those days was not like traveling as we travel today—by Jet. The voyage took about 10 days from Norway to New York, and about 4 days by "Steam Locomotive" trains to Minneapolis where George worked in a sawmill. In 1894 the family moved to Osage, Iowa, farming till April of 1907 when they decided to take their horses, machinery and what little house-hold goods they had been able to accumulate by this time, and travel by emigrant train to Driscoll with their four children—Haral, Christian, Rachel & George (in 1908 Arnold was born to make the family five). They started farming by renting land and later years was able to buy land of their own. The winter of 1907 George found work hauling rock for the N. P. Railway Co. when they were working on the N.P.R.R. Bridge near Bismarck on the Missouri River. The following winter he worked on the Rail Road Geniva Section, just east of Driscoll, in 1910 the family moved to Lein Twn. (about 11 miles north of Driscoll) and lived on the "Landy Place" as it was known. In 1913 built their home 114 Scanned with a Zeutschel Zeta book scanner at 300 dpi.
