Summary:England has performed heat flow measurements throughout the southwest, participated in geomagnetic studies in Montana, performed radar sounding studies in Washington state and Alaska, and microwave airborne research in geothermal areas in the Western United States. He has participated in and led field parties during two seasons in Antarctica. He has served as Deputy Chief of the Office of Geochemistry and Geophysics for the US Geological Survey and Associated Editor for the Journal of Geophysical Research. He is now Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Professor of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Science, and Associate Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Michigan.
