Summary:This report entails a critical review of current knowledge concerning the interactions between farmed and wild Atlantic salmon populations with specific relevance to Norway, and also discusses current knowledge regarding the effective management of wild populations of this species. The report details information on the aquaculture production, life history, distribution and population structure, genetic interactions and conservation of Atlantic salmon.
