海氷の変動特性と海洋過程や地球規模の環境変動との関連の解明を深めるために, これまでの研究成果に基づき, 今後の展望について議論する研究小集会を行った。南北両極域およびオホーツク海を対象とした冬季の現地観測や衛星リモートセンシング, モデル研究など多岐にわたる最近の成果が紹介された。海氷域のデータセットの構築や国際共同観測の活発化, モニタリング観測の方向性, 観測船や航空機を導入した総合的な研究計画立案の重要性などについて討論した。 To reveal characteristics of sea ice variability and their relation to oceanic p...

At the workshop, recent activities concerning field observations, satellite remote sensing and modeling of polar regions and Sea of Okhotsk were presented. It is suggested that we should put emphasis on construction of sea-ice database, promotion of international collaboration, and planning of multidisciplinary program. |
