I 2022 ble det påvist 45 dokumenterte eller antatte ynglinger av jerv i Norge. Dette er en nedgang i antall ynglinger med 15 (25 %) i forhold til i fjor. Det nasjonale bestandsestimatet basert på antall ynglinger de tre siste årene anslår nå bestanden til å være på omkring 350 voksendyr i Norge (usikkerhetsintervall: 282-456), som er noe lavere enn i 2021. Utviklingen av antall ynglinger i de ulike rovviltregionene viser en oppgang med tre ynglinger i region 7 og 8 sammenlignet med fjoråret. I region 3 ble det registrert en nedgang på seks ynglinger, mens det i region 5 og 6 ble registrert en nedgang på åtte ynglinger. Alle rovviltregionene med fastsatt nasjonalt bestandsmål ligger på eller over bestandsmålet i forhold til gjennomsnittlig antall ynglinger av jerv de tre siste årene. A total of 45 wolverine reproductions was found in Norway in 2022. This is a decrease of 15 reproductions (25%) compared to the previous year. The population estimate, based on the number of reproductions over the last three years, indicates a population of around 350 adult individuals (uncertainty interval: 282-456), which is a small decrease in number of individuals compared to 2021. Trends in the number of reproductions within the different management units show an increase in region 7 and 8 with three reproductions compared to last year, while there was a decrease of six reproductions in region 3 and a decrease of eight reproductions in region 5 and 6. All carnivore regions with national population goals for wolverine reproductions have reached or exceeded these goals, based on the average number of reproductions over the last three years.
