Description
Summary:This addendum report gives the concentrations of a selected range of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine insecticides (OCs) in the livers of Eurasian sparrowhawks, Accipiter nisus, found dead in Great Britain in 2007 to 2009. In addition the concentrations of these contaminants in the eggs of northern gannet, Morus bassanus, merlin, Falco columbarius, golden eagle, Aquila chrysaetos, and white-tailed sea eagle, Haliaeetus albicilla collected in Great Britain in 2007 to 2009 are reported here. Analysis of these results is presented in the full PBMS report for 2009/10. All PBMS reports can be down-loaded from the scheme’s website at http://pbms.ceh.ac.uk/results.htm.
