Description
Summary:There are three environmental factors which are predicted as medium of avian virus transmission: (1) physical environment, (2) biological environment and (3) the social environment or human behavior (trader or farm owner). Those become the main medium of transmission of avian flu disease of both humans and among poultries. Some types of avians which is susceptible to transmite the virus eg.chicken, ducks, geese, and ducks. In addition the characteristic of farmer, such as education, age, experience and level of income, also influence how the way they manage the farms. Physical environment components can be a transmission medium, such as: water pond, cleaning the cage location, distance of the cage with another cage, the distance of the cage with poultry markets and waterways waste. Likewise, biological environments are the existance of poultry (chicken, ducks, avians), pet, cats and other types of poultry. Moreover mixing and feeding avians can act as the cause of the spread of avian flu. Social environment or the farm owners behavior in terms of interacting with poultry can be the cause of the outbreak of avian flu among poultry. The behavior can allegedly support the process of transmission of avian flu by do not keeping clean hands, clothes and vehicles after doing direct contact with poultry, especially poultry infected by AI virus. It can be concluded that the three environmental factors, including physical, biological and social factors are alleged to be important cause factors. The result of the research explains that some of the aspects of environment are significant medium which are: characteristic of farmers: age and formal education; physical environment are:distance between the cages, sewerage of wastewater and the cleanlines of the yard; Biological Environment are: the existance of other animal, manure; social Environment are: reporting, the frekwency of getting information and disinfection in the gate.
