Description
Summary:This thesis document was issued under the authority of another institution, not NPS. At the time it was written, a copy was added to the NPS Library collection for reasons not now known. It has been included in the digital archive for its historical value to NPS. Not believed to be a CIVINS (Civilian Institutions) title. The purpose of this paper is (1) to extend the investigations made in a previous paper by Lieutenant Lackner and Lieutenant Stone in which an attempt was made to forecast the weather conditions over the North Atlantic from synoptic reports received from the North American continent only, and (2) make further contributions of forecasting methods based on the methods outlined in their paper.
