Rheology of the Ronne Ice Shelf, Antarctica, inferred from satellite radar interferometry data using an inverse control method

Here, we propose an inverse control method to infer the distribution of B, over a major ice shelf in Antarctica, the Ronne Ice Shelf. Constraints to the model are provided by the ice shelf geometry, precise and comprehensive ice velocity observations from satellite radar interferometry, and ice thic...

Description
Summary:Here, we propose an inverse control method to infer the distribution of B, over a major ice shelf in Antarctica, the Ronne Ice Shelf. Constraints to the model are provided by the ice shelf geometry, precise and comprehensive ice velocity observations from satellite radar interferometry, and ice thickness and elevation data from BEDMAP [Lythe et al., 2001]. We discuss the impact of the results on ice shelf modelling studies. NASA/JPL
