Summary:The Northwest Passage (NWP) is a waterway in Northern Canada, connecting the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. The impacts of climate change have opened up the passage for transit for the first time in history. Research has shown that the NWP could result in a significant saving of 2 weeks sailing time. The objectives of this research project aim to investigate the possibilities and impacts of the NWP as an alternative international shipping route. Bachelor of Science (Maritime Studies)
