Description
Summary:The materials of the Russian Archive of Social and Political History (RGASPI), which constitute the documentary basis of the publication, indicate that the mechanism of the functioning of the party system in the USSR under the conditions of late Stalinism operated according to a single model in all regions of the country. The publication highlights an unknown page of the “Leningrad case” associated with the holding of the fifth plenum of the Central Committee of the Komsomol of the Karelian–Finnish SSR on February 27–28, 1950, in the organization of which Yu. P. Tataurschikov and secretary of the Central Committee for personnel M. V. Komissarova, for whom their mentor Yu. V. Andropov was a fateful personality, whose support and participation largely determined the fate of everyone. The publication tested a way of understanding history based on its human dimension. Plots related to the fate of the graduates of the first two sets of the Central Komsomol School Maria Komissarova and Sergei Tataurshchikov, their relationship with Andropov are covered. Материалы Российского архива социально-политической истории (РГАСПИ), составляющие документальную основу публикации, свидетельствуют о том, что механизм функционирования партийной системы в СССР в условиях позднего сталинизма действовал по единой модели во всех регионах страны.
