Summary:Humourous song parodying Scottish vaudeville number, "Roamin' in the Gloamin' ", but with Newfoundland/Labrador subject matter. This is a parody, in Newfoundland/Labrador parlance, of a vaudeville song in Scottish dialect which was popularized by Sir Harry Lauder and Will Fife in the early twentieth century. The collector (MS p. 9) calls it a "takeoff on a short Newfoundland poem".
