Description
Summary:Humourous and satirical parody about hospital life and work at the Grenfell Mission Hospital, Northwest River, Labrador, in the mid-1960's. The verses deal with 1.) the Pathology Laboratory, 2.) the Nursery, and 3.) the kitchen and food services. According to the collector, MS p. 3, this song was "made up by the staff" for use at an "old-fashioned concert" at the Grenfell Mission Hospital in Labrador, in the Fall of 1963. The text was discovered by the collector in 1964. The tune is given as "The Mts. of Mourne" and the text is plainly a parody on the English language text of that song. The collector states that this song was made up by the hospital staff, but that no one will admit to being or knowing the composer.
