George Alfred Beckett
George Alfred Baker went to Cape Breton to seek his fortune. There, he murdered a taxi driver and attempted to make a quick escape, back to Newfoundland. However, he was apprehended, and sentenced to death for his crimes. cf. Lehr, 1985: 71-72.
