Description
Summary:The model is a Nova Scotian row dory, Shelburne type, and is patterned after the dories which were built in the factories of John Ethrington of Shelburne, N.S. At one time five separate dories factories were in operation in that Nova Scotian town. The last one was phased out in 1973. This dory, once so popular with Newfoundlanders, is no longer being built. As the Shelburne dory is derived from the Lowell American dory, they are very similar in appearance however there are differences between the two types in the rake, flare and sheer. Exterior: yellow. Interior: yellow with green trim. Colour on the digital reproduction varies.
