Nelson Bennett arrived in 1949, and Elsie French arrived in Midland, Newfoundland and Labrador in September 1936. Mr. Bennett was the principal of St. David's Anglican School for some time, and was very involved in developing recreation for the community. Ms. Bennett was also very involved in the community, as she started Girl Guides in Pasadena.

Mr. and Ms. Bennett discuss their memories of arriving in Pasadena. Mr. Bennett arrived in 1949. Ms. Bennett arrived in 1936 as a young girl. Her parents were part of the original settler group in Midland. They talk about the train station, as well as other businesses that no longer exist in the community.
