Although she grew up in the Mundy Pond area of St. John's, she often visited her mother's family in Norman's Cove. After her marriage, she moved to Harbour Grace with her husband, and eventually settled in Carbonear. Judy has worked as a secretary and a travel agent (amongst other occupations), and is presently retired. She has three children and one grandchild.
