Description
Summary:Root Cellar owned by Andrew Tucker on Bennett’s Road Portugal Cove-St. Phillips. It is a shed structure with a hatch entrance to the cellar. The cellar is a concrete cavity approximately 2.5m x 2.5m. It was built by his father, Moses Tucker, in 1952 with the help of his sons and brothers. The main concrete structure of the cellar is original along with most of the shed structure. Some minor renovations have been made including the removal of a glass tiered greenhouse that used to be on the side of the shed. It is still used today by his family as well as relatives that still live on his father’s original family land.
