Root cellar owned by Mr. John Thorne, fourth generation farmer in Portugal Cove. Cellar is underground with entrance through hatch in floor of shed constructed on top, with ladder leading down into storage area. Approximately 3.8 m x 3 m. Currently used to store potatoes farmed by the Thornes.
