Description
Summary:A mill lunch basket belonging to Julia Vardy, which was used by her husband, David Charles Vardy in the mill in Corner Brook. Vardy worked in the Corner Brook pulp and paper mill as a millwright from 1975 to 2003 (28 years). Upon his passing, Vardy's daughter, Lori Roche, had the basket taken to a florist and made into a flower arrangement so her mother could have it as a decoration in her home. The bottom of the basket has been patched with duct tape and Vardy's payroll number "7435" is marked on the inside of the lid.
