Summary:Passing Jimmys Hill moving inland, you are no longer Over the Road, you are Out the Road. This area of Branch is settled mostly by recent generations and there is more variety in family names. From the mid-1960s until the late-1980s, Out the Road was best known as the site of the former Shamrock Lounge. The Shamrock was a lively spot the only local dance bar and a popular place for Sunday afternoon entertainment. The Hennesseys have lived Out the Road since John Hennessey moved from the west shore of Placentia Bay in 1880.
