| Summary: | This third volume continues from the second and contains some additional reminiscences of Dad Morry’s period after the arrival of the Newfoundland Regiment in Egypt en route to Gallipoli. The majority of the story told here pertains to the events that took place in the Peninsula (Gallipoli) and then the second period of training for the Somme in Egypt, and concludes with the arrival of the Regiment in France and their first experiences on the Somme. This narrative concludes in the fourth diary (Volume 4 in this series) which was written beginning on January 4 1950.
